@fibrocartilage9 i applied to the engineering college, but the email did not specify the engineering program. It just said I was accepted.
I applied to the College of Arts and Sciences I think and it just said “you will be admitted to Cornell University”

Does human ecology send likely letters?
@michiganea2021 I don’t think likely letters are sent by specific schools within Cornell. I’m pretty sure (not 100%) that Cornell sends likely letters to recruited athletes and (according to this thread, but not confirmed anywhere else) top top top academic applicants. Cornell also sends diversity letters to women in engineering and URM.
Additionally, SHA releases decisions a little bit earlier than all the Ivies for some reason.

@michiganea2021 My college counselor and several past applicants told me that Human Ecology (where I applied) does not send likely letters. That said, I did receive an email in March that requested “any useful supplementary information for the committee to review” which my counselor told me is a good sign. Did anyone else receive anything similar?
@cornellplzhaveme I didnt… but i am thinking this is because I was deferred from ED…

@BlueBlazer The meat of the email was: “As the process unfolds, please approach your wait with calm and continue to attend to your work and activities with excellence and integrity. You may update or supplement your file through mid-March by emailing us any additional information you believe is useful for the selection committee.” And it linked the email directly to the admissions committee of Ecology. My counselor says this means I have made it to the final rounds of consideration since this was sent on March 3.

@cornellplzhaveme Congrats! That does sound positive. I am guessing your counselor has reason to believe that it was not sent to all CHE applicants. I would tend to agree.
@BlueBlazer Thank you, and he does. It is absolutely my #1 school I put EVERYTHING into my supplement. I just really want to know if anyone else got this email? I responded to it with literally the best email of my life so I am PRAYING.
