****Cornell University Class of 2021 Regular Decision Thread****

When does finaid package for cornell come out. Next week? Early april?

Also, do internationals get an official Acceptance mail??

Any help for waitlisted students?

What does a conditional acceptance entail? I know Cornell will send more information regarding this, but does anyone know what the conditions are for an ivy league school? So stressed aah!

HELP! I got a admission decision as following,

Congratulations on your acceptance to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University! We are very pleased to be welcoming you to the Cornell community.

Very soon, you will receive your official letter of acceptance from us in the mail. In your official letter of admission, you will note that your acceptance is for First-Year Spring Admission in January, 2018. If you have any questions once you have reviewed your letter, please visit admissions.cornell.edu/fysa for more information.

We are excited that you will be joining the Cornell community and know that you will make a very positive contribution to the university.

I wonder what is this “first year spring admission” thing? Cuz I am pretty sure I got accepted…

@StAlxxxxxx yes you were accepted to spring semester. I think ~60 people get it for the college you got into and 60 more for CAS

@StAlxxxxxx You will attend cornell in the Spring term of 2018, you probably checked yes to consideration for it in the commonapp

Thank you! I think it was an accident but I still feel grateful!

I like how I’m one of the people that can post what seems like nonsense but is actually what happened LOL:

"
Accepted - Cornell (CALS); Johns Hopkins (College); University of Virginia (College); University of California, Berkeley; University of Florida; Fordham; FIU

Wait listed - Harvard, Yale, Princeton (College), Columbia (College), Dartmouth, Brown, UPenn (Wharton), Rice, U-Chicago

Rejected - Tulane (What the?), FSU (What the???), Duke (Oh well)

Now’s a time for choosing, it’s going tobe tough

Did anyone from ILR ever get in as a spring admit?

Guys I’m a bit concerned. This was part of the email I got. What requirements would I need?

“In your official letter of admission, you will note that your acceptance is conditional based on certain requirements that you will need to fulfill before you matriculate.”

Same^

@johngreenop @gocornell2

I didn’t get that. Strange.

I had no intents on going to Cornell, because honestly, I really didn’t think I could get in, as I’m not the brightest. However, I am so happy that I was pushed to apply on a whim. This just really exemplifies that you never know how life works, and that it’s all just a chance. Congrats to those accepted, and if you weren’t, congrats on where you are going. You’re future is bright!

@johngreenop @gocornell2, I believe there are admitted students required to attend the Pre Summer Program before matriculating. You may visit the Cornell site on the pre summer program https://www.sce.cornell.edu/ss/programs.php?v=PREFRESH&s=Overview

Admitted. Engineering. Congrats! See you guys there!

LOL I’m from Florida, I bet FSU thought you were too good of a candidate! @mdchang99

Does anyone know approximately how many are put on the waitlist…

Nikki, there isn’t any rhyme or reason at times… I live in Florida and know many kids with very high scores that were rejected from FSU and UF…
