Cornell University Early Decision for Fall 2024 Admission

Didn’t receive any. In the below aid status link, just shows the year with no fin aid data available. If ok to share, how it looks for you? View Financial Aid Decision | Financial Aid

I’m a current hotel student if you ever have any questions!

My daughter already did hers, it’s mostly an opportunity for the student to ask questions. It is not evaluative.

That link does not provide info but through this link: Check Application Status | Financial Aid
you can see what documents they are requesting through idoc.

Just reread your post. Through that link it says:
Aid year 25 Institution: Cornell Aid Year Description: Financial Aid Year 2024-2025

1000022530I have this message. Thanks.

My son got the ED status email and an email regarding IDOC. it is so confusing and it is the same college board that I did when I filed my financial aid. Too many sites to keep track of, CSS, IDOC, Federal financial aid, and what else.

I am way more stressed than my son.

Take it easy. The application has been submitted, and there is almost nothing more you can do but wait for the decision date in mid-December. As the old Chinese saying goes, If it means to be yours, it will be yours after all; Otherwise, just let it be. I assume you have also made Plan B for other colleges.

My daughter did not receive any emails regarding ED status update. Is that not a good sign?

Did she check if it went to her spam?

I agree that the financial aid aspect is stressful. Does anyone have items listed as “initiated” on their financial aid “to do list” that should already be on IDOC? Ours is asking for a W2 that we uploaded to IDOC several weeks ago. Not sure if I should reach out to the financial aid office or give it a few days to see if it clears off the list.

It is just a generic email, desribing the process and 3 ED decision statuses. It might go to spam folder.

you should check with them. I recalled that I uploaded it and they validated it in a day or 2.

Cornell does not offer interviews for Architecture anymore. And no portfolio reviews either.

Where are you seeing that? The interview form for AAP is still up for alumni interviewers.

Also, portfolios are still absolutely required:

Here’s the info from Cornell: “The portfolio requirements help the faculty assess strengths in these more subjective areas. The portfolio requirements must be met for the application to be considered.” https://aap.cornell.edu/admissions/undergraduate/architecture

Two more weeks :grimacing: and we will get responses.

Their website still shows interviews are required.

cornell request some documents to be submitted via IDOC. We did that, however I still see them in IDOC as uploaded section. the processed section only has few docs which are some verification letters etc. cornell finaid status still shows initiated, which means they have not received it from IDOC. Any suggestions, who should be contacted ?

We submitted CSS on 11-22-2023 and we haven’t received an email from IDOC for an invite to log into IDOC yet. When we tried to log into IDOC, it basically says account does not exist.

===
Error10x10 Error: The CBFinAid ID and the Date of Birth you provided do not match for the IDOC Cycle selected. Please verify the Date of Birth is in the format of ‘mm/dd/yyyy’ and try again.

When I try to log in and I get this error msg. I am sure information is correct. Does anyone know why this happens?

Nonetheless, we are not expecting much financial aid at all.
