What’s your major?
I’m a legal studies major at SJU
I mean, what are you applying for? I’m currently a freshman at John Jay College (maybe you heard of it).
Oh, my bad. I am applying for ILR, how about you?
economics, HMU/PM
Does that A- I got in philosophy completely ruin my chances of getting in?
@DrewGonz19 TBH I don’t think it won’t hurt you if your letter of recommendation and writing supplement are strong. I am also a first-year student like you, and my GPA is lower than yours but my professors are really trying to write a great letter of recommendation and also write a strong writing supplement. Just work on your essays and give your professors enough information about you.
I got an email from Cornell University saying they want to do a phone interview. Does anyone know what the interview is about?
Are you applying as a transfer @Minsung12345
And also do you know if it was from CAAAN? @Minsung12345
yes, I applied as transfer about a week ago. I have no idea if it’s from CAAAN. @Newyorkkidd
OMG - jesus you all started submitting your applications already?! am i late in the game?
please advise
you are definitely not late- we have months still to apply, people just have different schedules and might want to get them done early. Also Minsung, what program are you applying to? Some programs require an interview and others don’t even offer it.
@itwillallbeok business management in Cornell College
I’m having the interview this Friday lol. Luckily, my boss has many interview experiences from prestigious schools.
Are any of you guys submitting SAT scores? I called admissions last week and the lady on the phone said that it is optional unless is required by your major. Is anyone applying to a school that doesn’t require it, still submitting it?
@Minsung12345 are you applying to Cornell College or Cornell University?
Yeah, I just realized its two totally different schools. It tricked me
