Cornell University Fall 2020 Transfer

Guys, don’t worry if the transcript part of your financial aid portal says “initiated.” Here’s what I found in last years thread:

“Yes I’m accepted to Dyson and my aid is still initiated. I called the financial aid office asking about “initiated”. They told me when the docs are not received, it’s status shows as “initiated”. Please call them and see what docs are missing from your file.”

So maybe go ahead and call if it still says that. That’s what I’m going to do in the morning.

yea 4 other materials disappeared on my finical aid this morning and they received my stuff last night.

Hi everyone! Do we need to apply for housing before we heard the decisions or only after we were admitted? Seems that some other universities require applicants to apply for housing during these days, though the decisions are not ready

I do not think we are able to apply for housing until after we are admitted.

You’re not allowed to apply for housing if you have not Being accepted

Hello, I am an international student. I did the PIN trick yesterday and it worked (I guess), but now I am not able to see my financial aid checklist. It literally says:

No current to do item information found. Does anyone know what is happening?

how do i do the pin trick??

@ivytransfer12 can you at least see your transcript on financial aid?

@heyigotnoclue you are supposed to go to this link then click to recuperate your id and password. If you receive an email with the new credentials people say that it means that the school has already made a decision (doesn’t mean acceptance nor rejected). however, i do not recommend doing it if your financial checklist is going to disappear like mine did… https://finaid.cornell.edu/check-application-status

@Newyorkkidd no… when i log in it takes me to a blank page and i only can see my name and the sentence “no current to do item information found”… that’s it. i have been trying to contact the financial aid office since early march but they haven’t replied to my emails yet

@ivytransfer12 I’m an international student, and I have the same page as well. I emailed Cornell about it, and they responded “the financial aid-to-do relist is not active for international students so you will not see anything listed there”.

@ivytransfer12 - um i have three items on mine. ah oh. was i supposed to submit stuff already? shoot ;-; what do i do now?

@sisyphuspeak oh… okay thank you!! what do you think about that? it is kind of weird…

@heyigotnoclue I think you can still submit documents but do it now!

@ivytransfer12 I was definitely concerned because everyone else here was mentioning the things on their list while I wasn’t seeing anything. Cornell took 2 days to respond. Hopefully, this doesn’t place us too much at a disadvantage.

Im not sure how the financial aid application works but I know that for your application checklist supplemental materials are due today so you may still have time!

I was just checking my portal and it says I uploaded an “Optional Supplemental Material” on April 8th but I didn’t…
Just wondering if anyone else has this/knows what it means?
