@blueki I sent mine through common app as well and mine shows as received as well as everything else! im so relieved bc i sent my supporting docs a while before submitting my application and was worried they wouldn’t have kept them. I really hope you can figure it out maybe they haven’t processed them yet? - if it doesn’t show in a couple days maybe email them
Is anyone here a guaranteed transfer option? I am a regular applicant
Hey guys can anyone tell me if I have an actual shot at being accepted into ILR?
GPA: 3.94
Credits: 30 by the end of the semester
Midterm Grades: 3.94
Relevant Courses: Philosophy, 2 English courses including composition, Microeconomics, and a Foreign Language
EC’s: Newspaper contributing writer/photographer with 2 publications that speak about Trump, Student Government involvement, Legal Society member, ALPFA member which is a Latino professional group
Rec Letters: Got a good one from my psychology professor who attended UPenn
Essay: Wrote about the educational system and tied it to my early childhood experiences, made it ILR related on the basis of organizational behavior
I’m a first-gen Latino student if that helps, but I don’t think it does
This is all college but I fear that it won’t be enough or that I’ll seem like a weak prospective student
@bluekiblueki I’m having the same problem I emailed them today but still waiting on a response. I also ordered mine through the common app. Just to be safe, I ordered another copy today to be sent straight to Cornell Admissions
Hi guys! Is anyone applying for food science? I haven’t found very many people who are interested in the major and figured I would reach out
Hi @CALSgirl2020 ! I am not a food science major but I am also a CALS applicant which I haven’t really seen on here yet! Im applying to Communication. Good luck to you!
Also everyone I have been doing some research on how coronavirus impacts college admission, and it definitely has. Schools are accepting more students to secure their yield rate. Also something notable is that Cornell has decided to not release its profile for the Class of 2024 yet. They are the only member of the Ivy League to withhold this information which is very interesting. I think this is a great idea on their part, especially with admissions getting more cutthroat each year, but it is definitely something to think about!
Thank you
Keep the positivity going y’all and best of luck this month and in the transfer process! Hope we all pull this off. Good to see some fellow CALS applicants in the same boat!
@keepthatsmile Good luck to you as well! I know we will all get through this. Hopefully time flies between now and Mid April!
Hi @Songless ! What major are you applying to?
Does anyone else who submitted a complete Common App on 3/15 have the portal marking it as received on 3/16? (This also has happened to me for Northwestern) I’m worried they’ll think it was late even though I literally have a submission receipt from 3/15
You should be fine as they extended the deadline to April 10th anyway
@blueki Oh wow, I didn’t even notice. Thanks!
Hey guys, my portal still says initiated in the financial aid section. Should I consider that as a rejection or should I wait more on the ordered status? I know it barely started but I sent in my application on March 6th.
Why would you consider that a rejection @DrewGonz19 ? I think it’s far too early to use the PIN trick as the deadline hasn’t even passed yet. I wouldn’t worry at all. Keep up the positivity and try to remain sane until the decisions come! I know it can take over your head, it certainly has for me, but remember to stay positive and be patient! I wish you good luck when the time does come!
I keep reading about the pin trick and just to confirm, it only applies to those who applied for aid, correct?
Can anyone explain the pin trick? Also, what are the TRCD Course Descriptions?
I’m pretty sure the pin trick is for all applicants. If I understand correctly, Cornell sends you an email with a pin when your decision is ready to be viewed. You use that PIN to login to see your decision. I copied this from last year’s thread:
So what is this “pin trick?”
If you go to the link (https://decision.applyyourself.com/fl_login.aspx?id=cornellu), on the webpage you will see a “Forgot your PIN or password?” link. Click on it and enter your email. If you enter email and click submit, you may or may not receive an EMAIL (to your gmail account or whatever) with your PIN and password reset instructions.
→ If you receive this password reset email, it only means your decision has been made (does not determine acceptance/rejection)
→ If you do not receive this password reset email, it means your decision current has not been made yet (again no proof of acceptance/rejection)
@keepthatsmile I am applying for Development Sociology! I don’t know how popular it is, but the anxiety of waiting for this decision is gonna kill me.
