Cornell University Fall 2020 Transfer

.

Hey y’all, have any CALS animal science majors heard back? I saw some CALS but looked like no one was an sci. Thanks!

So I contacted the transfer admissions email and asked when CALS decisions will be out. Was just told that they are rolling and I can’t be given a date.

Also do you guys think taking a course P/F will look bad? I had a B on my midterm report but that grade dropped since doing online webcam exams.

@FarmerBoi Im in the same boat. Thats exactly what CALS told me. I also had a B+ on my mid-term report but am taking it pass/fail. I don’t think they mind. I emailed about it earlier.

Thanks @keeepthatsmile ! Is your course one of your transfer requirements?

I had two P/F for TA’ing credits, and one B-, and I was accepted this past Tuesday. Don’t stress it

@FarmerBoi It was not one of my requirements

Accepted to College of Engineering!

Just got an email saying I’m accepted at 4 pm today.

Non-TO from a community college
Veteran
3.97 GPA
President of Veterans club
Other generic awards and stuff that i dont think are worth listing off

Extra details: my admissions portal hasnt changed, it still just shows the check list. I’m not using financial aid, but my financial aid checklist says initiated. the email I got also doesn’t give much information other than i got accepted, and my official notification of acceptance will be may 5th. Not really sure why I got an email ahead of time

Congrats! @dsb33

Accepted into College of Engineering too at 16:19 yesterday~
Got an email whose subject is “Cornell Engineering–Congratulations!”
Non-TO, international student, got admitted into computer science major.

I wish every one of you the best luck!!!
And please remember, whether admitted or not will never determine who you are and what you can achieve.
Fate has always planned the best for you. Just wait and you’ll see.

Congrats! I am a veteran too applied to engineering. I guess I will have to settle with my 2nd choice school. Hope you do well in Cornell brother!

What was your intended major? @dsb33

What’s going with these decisions, are they just randomly issuing it now?

For those who have been accepted, has the status of your financial aid documents changed? I was admitted about a week ago and my documents still say “initiated”. I’m worried about whether this means there’s a problem with my aid application.

@lolza204 electrical and computer engineering

@khan2020 I think the normal rolling decisions on Tuesdays is still what’s happening. the email I got said my official acceptance will come on Tuesday, and my admissions portal hasn’t changed at all from the checklist. maybe the college of engineering just sent a few people an email early.

@anxierin Thanks man. I’m sure you know this well enough that i don’t actually have to say it, but as long as you’re capable enough to realistically consider Cornell as a transfer option, you’re more than capable enough to succeed in life. Hell, you really don’t even have to succeed in school to succeed in life. Anyway, don’t give up hope on Cornell just yet. Tuesday is still the official day

I was accepted last week into Arts & Sciences. I have a question.

Cornell offers study abroad programs at Oxford and Cambridge for Junior year and the application opens halfway through first semester. They require about a 3.7-3.8 GPA to apply.

Because I’ll be a sophomore at Cornell this fall and won’t have any courses, do you think they’ll be ok with my GPA from my current school given I’m a transfer student?

@Nunatic can i ask what your stats were mate!

Although they’re both part of the business school, I don’t think the hotel one is affiliated with NYS.
