<p>re#19, I agreee, Cornell CAS feels bigger than its literal undergraduate enrollment, for the reasons stated. Particularly for the popular lower-level courses. In upperclass major courses my classmates were virtually all CAS but this likely depends on major. And the aggregate university body is controlling socially.</p>
<p>The bio major is unique in that is completely shared and common to CAS and CALS. So majors from both colleges will be taking the same courses, all the way through.
One would hope they have the appropriate level of professors with this in mind. I never took an upper level bio courses there though, so I’ve no idea. Nor do I know what UC is like.</p>
<p>I do know a number of Cornell bio majors who completed the program and did great for themselves, but that’s the extent of what I know about it.</p>
