Hello, I was just wondering if Cornell University takes into account the old SAT writing scores? Thank you!
Did you not find that info on the Cornell webpages?
I saw that Cornell wouldn’t require the optional essay section on the SAT, but the essay wasn’t optional for the old SAT.
That is probably because on the old SAT all test non-special case takers were required to write the essay.
Do you mean the 2400 SAT? Because Cornell doesn’t consider the writing portion.
Then again, at the info session I went to as a junior, the admissions officer speaking said something along the lines of “we say we don’t look at it, but it’s not as if we put our hand over the score when we read your application. It’s there”
