Cornell University Waitlist Class of 2022

I think Cornell tries to be need-blind for WL. On the other hand, even though Cornell is need blind they have kept their % of students receiving FA fairly consistent.

^^ that is an interesting observation. So besides ethnicity, geography, etc., financial need could be one of the quotas as well. So, the no financial need kids compete against other no financial need kids and vice versa?

I never thought of it that way @bogeyorpar . I have always worried, and still pretty much believe, that our financial need hinders my D 's application.

Submitted my LOCI for Cornell College of Human Ecology Sunday Night and received this message: Thank you for your email and concern regarding your application to Cornell University. We are currently processing application materials and will send an update to transfer applicants next week. You will be notified by email if your application is incomplete, and we will provide you an opportunity to send in any required materials to complete your application. Please do not send duplicate materials to our office. Thank you for your patience as we work to complete applications.

Does this mean my letter sent and I am fine or should I be receiving another follow up email?

My D got the same response last week. They got your loci

So after submitting your LOCI’s to undergradapp@cornell.edu , have you guys gotten a confirmation email besides the automatic reply?

I’ve gotten replies from my regional person and the school email, but not from undergradapp@cornell

How do we find our regional person?

Does anyone know if Cornell is able to open a document from Google docs?

Does anyone know the email to send letters to Arts and Sciences?

as_admissions@cornell.edu

Good luck to all! I am thinking some students will start hearing from Cornell with offers by the end of the week, based on last year’s thread.

Do I have to send my LOCI to the actual college I applied to or just undergradapp@cornell?

^^ Do we? I just sent it to undergradapp

I sent it to both just to be safe… I think the college email might get a faster response

Is it too late to send it to the college email now as well? like is it worth it or is it just okay that i sent it to undergradapp

If you already sent it, don’t send it agian cuz that is just annoying and desparate

Does anyone know what happens now that it’s May 1st? When does the first wave of decisions come out?

@addisonxxxx , I read through last year’s waitlist thread, and students were hearing by the end of the the first week of May if they got offers. Some went into mid-May. Engineering posted on their website on May 3rd last year that they had reached their quota and would not be accepting anyone from the WL. So, I think some of you will know something by the end of the week. Some will be offered GT in mid to late May. I just hope my D is told something final. Best of luck to all!

If anyone gets off waitlist, please post here!
