Cornell v. Vanderbilt

Anyone else think it’s unbelievable that @wypiposuck___ got into Vandy on a full-tuition scholarship and a school at Cornell that he/she doesn’t even want to go to? And how many hundreds and thousands of kids on CC are dying while they are on WLs? lol. I think you are quite, quite fortunate @wypiposuck___ . And while I wish you well, I am rooting for the student who gets your spot at one of these fine schools.

@wypiposuck___ totally

I would choose vandy over Cornell regardless of financial implications. It’s an ivy but it’s not hpys. It’s equal to vandy academically and half the fun. Imho. You all can have your own opinion on this and I totally respect that. Not looking for a debate.

To me it’s pretty cut and dry what I would want for my child so many years after my own school experience.

Partner at work ( late 40s ) announced he has six months to live today. He is a Dartmouth grad. Only remembers the fun. The falls. Not the stress.

Life is way too short and youth too fleeting to get caught up in the collegiate arms race. If Cornell versus state u. I get it. But it’s Vanderbilt and with scholarship. Go get a great education and enjoy a few football games and yes have a couple of beers too.

It seems that contributors are far more experienced with schools in New England. You will receive an excellent education at either school. However, Vandebilt is close to downtown Nashville. Music City provides entertainment venue of all sorts, free concerts and other activities on the Cumberland River, Frist part am Art Museum, many beautiful parks, multiple higher education opportunitie and more quality of life and beauty, Nashville is very hard to beat. Built on an ancient ocean, Nashville is hilly and features lots and lots of trees. Spring is a series of flowers. Nashville soil is so wonderful that everything grows. The city is also close to the other Southern cities and states. Most people consider admittance to Vanerbilt wonderful.
