Cornell vs. Chicago?

Hey guys, so a younger brother's friend is deciding among a couple of schools, among which are Cornell (likely letter), Chicago and Rice. so far anyway...still waiting on HYPSCDPB. he's undecided but wants a broad liberal arts education...considering law and med school. he doesn't want to get his hopes up about the other schools so wants to know which would be the best choice among these three if he were to get denied at the others.

How’s your GPA this semester?

All three are fine institutions, and he should see which one suits his personality best.

Cornell over Chicago unless passionate about Chicago from starting gate.

Also depends on the major.

The U of C is an awesome school if you are an insufferable hipster. Nothing beats UChicago if you enjoy being around people who say things like “deconstruct” “Kantian,” and “hegemony” at inopportune times. I mean, we have kids like that but they’re mostly just architects and they’re locked up in studio all the time anyway so no big deal.

Cornell over UChicago every time.

Your take on the architectural students at Cornell made me laugh pretty hard. “…we have kids like that but they’re mostly just architects and they’re locked up in studio all the time anyway so no big deal.”-- priceless! Thanks – people can use a good laugh. :)

Definitely Cornell cas.
