Cornell VS Columbia-Physics

Which is the better place for engineering /physics?

cornell is better for engineering period. They are ranked 8th in the nation while columbia is like 20 something

Cornell has the number one program in engineering physics in the country according to US News. If you have questions about engineering physics at Cornell let me know. I am quite familiar with the department.

so, what is engineering physics? lol

For pure physics, they are equally as good...
Cornell has much stronger engineering overall (according to GRADUATE rankings), but at the UNDERGRAD level, they are both excellent.

Cornell (rural) and Columbia (super-urban) are in VERY different environments, and you should pick based on which environment you think you can thrive in.

Atoms were split at Columbia back at the dawn of the nuclear age. That's why they can't tear down one of the old buildings near the Engineering School. It's a national landmark (the Manhattan Project). Hah!!!
