Cornell vs. Northeastern $43,000 scholarship

I know it should seem like a no-brainer to pick Cornell, but at the same time, a $43,000 scholarship is hard to turn down... I would be in engineering at Cornell and math at Northeastern.

My other options are: Carnegie Mellon, University of Rochester, Bucknell, UConn, and Santa Clara.

Help???

What’s your financial aid situation at the other schools? Are you getting any aid from Cornell?

Is it $43,000 per year or over 4 years?

$43,000 per year. That’s why it’s such a hard decision, considering that with room and board, the cost of Northeastern is about $54,000, leaving me paying only $11,000 a year. I’m not getting financial aid at Cornell, and the other schools are giving me little to no aid.

I’d go with Northeastern.

Cornell is a great school, but is it worth $172,000 more than Northeastern? I personally don’t think so.

Oh I also forgot to mention I would be in the Honors Program at Northeastern.

Well that sealed the deal…NEU it is. 44k + Honors Program or 210k and a hard as anything schedule at an Ivy that will lead to struggle and debt…lol.
