Northwestern and Cornell have more academic prestige, but remember that the Georgetown campus will likely be more appealing to you due to location. Also keep in mind that Cornell is in the Ivy League, if that means anything to you.

Personally, Chicago over DC any day.

location, anyone?

georgetown’s a sweet school, but it’s slightly less academic and prestigious than northwestern and cornell. Georgetown also has a religious affiliation (and required religious classes), while northwestern and cornell do not.

I personally would prefer northwestern to cornell because of the smaller size, better location, and slightly stronger student body, but that is me. The pros for cornell (for most people) are it’s status as an ivy, it’s east coast location, and amazing scenery nearby.

since all 3 are pretty effin hard to get into, I’d keep my mind open to all 3 and then see which ones let you in

Does anyone know the yield rates for these schools?

^^ g’town has the highest yield, probably largely attributed to it’s religious affiliation, followed likely by cornell, because of it’s partial public status.

if you look up the “revealed preference” study, it is ordered pretty much in that same way, g’town is the most preferred (a quality that the authors possibly attribute to its religious status) followed by cornell, etc.

Georgetown’s great…
