cornell has more majors than princeton in science. does that make it better? cornell recruites more people than princeton. does that make it worse?
the answer to both of those is no. cornell admits more people than princeton not because it is less selective but because they are large enough to recruit the many qualified applicants vs. princeton.
but which is better? the answer is neither. in science, cornell and princeton are the top 2 schools in the ivies and both are in the top 10 in the world. in other areas, they are both great. Princeton is better known for a large range of things whereas cornell is mostly famous for their science program which is undoubtedly the most challenging in the world.

nasa is known for favoring cornell applicants over other ivies. if you’re going into science, cornell is the best college to go to (strongest program, best jobs offered afterwards, and most majors in science to choose from). if your are choosing something else, princeton or another college might be better, but cornell’s still good.
