I can't decide between these two schools - i like them equally and they both have equal pros and cons in my mind.

So anyone have any ideas??

Im planning on majoring in chemistry but minoring in music.

I got the same money from each but more of it was grants at vandy.

Please help me out - my family and i are going crazy over what decision to make.

visit both again, get a feel. Cornell's degree is definitely more prestigious but that doesn't mean you'd get any worse of an education @ V.

Cornell's chem >> Vandy's chem

Vandy's not as cut throat as Cornell... you better choose Cornell!

If I had to choose between Cornell or Vanderbilt, I would definitely go with Cornell.

Vanderbilt is a great school and all but is prestigious only in the south, while Cornell has a world-renowned reputation. Also, Ithaca is a much better city than Nashville. Cornell is much more diverse than Vanderbilt. I applied to Vanderbilt but got into Cornell ED. Good luck in your decision.
