Hope good news comes tmr or next week. Ideally, AO director would not have written a very positive notes to kids before AO officers have already know how many spots to be OPEN in current wave(rolling). I wish they were not writing interest confirmation emails to kids just for holding them. and then hold a WL’s WL pool. That would really hurt kids and parents feelings later on if no offer get provided. That’s why I am confused by why some CoE parents say that their kids still wait for updates from AO after Mar 3rd confirmation of interest.
Does anyone else have this on their portal? I submitted a loci on the 15th but now there’s another waitlist correspondence on the 9th but I haven’t sent them anything on that day. (I did send a few emails after my loci but those were days before the 9th)
Did you check your email spam folder?
CoE People - when you submitted the interest/LOCI form from a week or two ago, did you get a confirmation email or some kind of “Waitlist Correspondence” message show up in your portal? I submitted mine but I’m not sure if Cornell actually received it
My son got no confirmation email and no update in his portal from COE after submitting the form/essay about his major of choice. The last update shown in his portal is from March 31st when he accepted his waitlist spot . He did say, after he submitted the COE form, a window popped up saying he had submitted it and that they would reach out via email and he would have 24 hours to respond if they want to offer him a spot. I think everyone on the waitlist from COE got the option of submitting this form/essay.
Same as my daughter, she did not get confirmation either.
She just complied the direction that Cornell engineering school wanted no LOCI or any updates or other stuff except the short essay she submitted.
But seemed like some people sent LOCI or updates to Cornell engineering and got in from waitlist.

If you send them an email, I think they load the email into your portal. It can take a few days for them to add it, so if you emailed them a few days earlier that update might be them adding your email to your file.
I got no confirmation so don’t worry! And I got in without sending any LOCI or anything. Just the Common Application, then about 200-word essay in the waitlist form they sent everyone. You shouldn’t be at a disadvantage for following directions

Hey guys - I just got an email from Cornell regarding an admissions status update for my application, and I was rejected off the WL for Dyson. I’m not sure if they will extend any transfer option(s); But other Dyson candidates, please do update the rest of us if you’ve any success with the WL and/or transfer option.
