Has anyone heard anything about anyone getting off the waitlist?
No
Is it possible that they will begin before May 1st?
According to someone on Reddit, someone was taken off the waitlist yesterday, but I havenât heard of any other cases so Iâm not sure how credible they are. Either way, I think itâs still pretty possible they start taking people before May 1st, given how many other schools are using the waitlist already.
Can I see where on the reddit did this person say he got off?
on the waitlist email, they said the deadline to decide if you wanna be on the waitlist is April 10th, so itâs highly unlikely they start taking people off before every waitlist comes in. Also i think its by a school to school basis, so i guess maybe if you CAS, you get your decision alot quicker idk
Daughter waitlisted, College of Engineering. What sort of updates (awards, honors, etc. ) do they expect to see if our kids are currently doing distance learning while adhering to social distancing guidelines?
When I tried to link the reddit it said my comment is going to be reviewed by mods. But the title is âWhat schools have u heard are already pulling kids from the waitlist?â and someone said it in the comments
Probably something like what they did before school got closed like grades and club activities before she had to stay at home.
Hi. My other kid (have twins) just got off the WL at Barnard College yesterday (very early) so they are definitely moving at some schools. I have the other one WL at Cornell (and Georgetown and Pomona). He is going to a top 15 SLAC with merit barring Cornell or Georgetown. He sent a LOCI in already to Cornell, Human Ecology. Imagine most schools will wait till after May 1 depositsâŠlooks like Cornell traditionally does that.
How many students not offered a spot this year are given the transfer option?
What major is your son doing? I am also waitlisted by humec
@applicants107107 No idea. We wouldnât know. Hoping if kid doesnât get in they give him a TO or a Guaranteed TO. People say WL is better than GTO or TO because you can still go this year.
@FallAutumnLeaf : He applied for PAMâPolicy Analysis and Management. Do you think they go major by major? How about you?
Idk if they do major by major. And yeh I am also doing policy analysis and management.
Waitlisted CAS, international.
Sent email of continued interest last week end and see that the admissions office uploaded it on the portal.
Should you send the letter through email or do you just upload in the portal?
