@gwang968 LMAO i think the world is already apocalyptic enough hahahaha but yes!!! let’s all stay positive- any time now
@gwang968 what do you mean by “something similar happened with Vanderbilt, and there have been multiple waves?” My brother got accepted off the Vandy waitlist in the first wave for Vandy on 05/01 and there hasn’t been a second wave yet there. Vandy applicants who didn’t get an offer in the first wave have gotten a second email asking them to reiterate their interest once again, but no second wave of offers yet.
Also, FYI @zokaitlyn Vanderbilt sent out an email to everyone who accepted their spot on the waitlist after admissions decisions came out in March, asking them to reiterate their interest in staying on the waitlist. Cornell didn’t send out an email to everyone who accepted their spot on the waitlist — they sent it only to those who are on the “top of the list” in the waitlist deliberations.
@td1234 Sorry I meant that there is speculation that a second wave should come out tomorrow for Vandy. The reason I thought it was similar was because I think Cornell might do the same thing as Vanderbilt, i.e. asking for interest, accepting, and then asking for interest again based on the amount of spots left. The only difference is that the Cornell email is more exclusive, whereas the Vandy email was sent to everyone. I’m just saying that there is a possibility that Cornell may send out more interest-verification emails after the initial wave is over, and these may go out to people who didn’t receive the initial email.
Sorry if I misled you @zokaitlyn
@tdhampson12 emailed them yesterday I guess CoE is done taking people
@daisy57 did they tell you that COE isn’t going to take any more people in the email?
Guys i’ve refreshed my email over 50 times gah this wait is so bad

No worries! And apologies for having maybe sounded rude! I think the stress of not having heard back is really getting to me!
Have hope and be positive guys! No matter what happens <3 ik its corny but stressing only makes things worse
nothing on reddit and nothing on CC today… can we say that today wasnt it?
I guess On to the next day
nothing on reddit and nothing on CC today… can we say that today was a fluke??
I was just thinking that. I hope yesterday wasn’t the first and last day…
Well it makes me feel better that nobody else got into CAS today … what if they’re done for good? Like what if they really aren’t taking anybody else off? And they still sent that email to so many people? Sad. I haven’t even filled out the housing app at the school I’m committed to or taken my ID picture because I was waiting for this and who knows when we’ll find out.
While we wait it out, where have you guys committed to just in case?

Committed to UVA before May 1 and payed a $400 deposit. Then got off the waitlist at Vanderbilt, and if Cornell doesn’t respond in a couple days, I have to pay a $400 deposit to Vanderbilt because the deadline is up. Then if Cornell accepts me after that, I have to pay another $400 to Cornell.
It’s a good problem to have, but still, dangit Cornell
