I have committed to University of Michigan. Will be a tough call if I get off the waitlist!
committed to georgia tech really hoping to get off cornell waitlist
My son is headed to Michigan and having a kid at Cornell Engineering and one headed to Michigan Engineering I’ve been so impressed thus far with mich of what I’m seeing relative to Cornell. Of course there is also some of the same bs like with registration and class waitlists etc but how they run their job internship stuff and looo you in immediately and stuff like that are making my Cornelian jealous. The dorm stuff though and other extraneous nonsense and normal bs like hotels for parent weekend (already sold out) no different than any college town nonsense.
someone on reddit said their friend got off the waitlist for the SHM
until people talk about themselves getting in i’m calling bs
I wonder if it is a feeder school. Do the AO always go to the feeder schools first or they need to see what their “institutional” needs are (to create a culturally diversified class)?
people last year said that it typically takes a day between commitment day and when they notify people about waitlist results (i dont think this is right since it varies school to school) but i wanted to give that info out. esp to dyson WL’s i think they come out before anyone else’s
do you mean SHA?
My daughter goes to Cornell. She and her roommate know someone directly that was accepted off the waitlist a few days ago. You can call it bs or not but my daughter isn’t a liar and has a lot of integrity if I do say so myself.
Do you know which college the person was accepted into?
Hotel. So SHA
I know someone that is deferred and then waitlisted by Cornell. Does that increase their chances of getting in?
I’ve committed to Georgia Tech!
has anyone heard anything about waitlist yet
nope, nada, niente, zilch, zip, zero
did anyone receive an email a while ago about confirming a spot on the waitlist or anything abt a TO?
I’ve heard nothing, but it seems like CAS releases decisions later so idk
Im scared
sent a lengthy email to AAP Admissions - no response
usually on these threads there’s that one person whose half sisters mom has a friend who’s daughter works for the admissions committee. i’m a little desperate rn for inside information
