what happens when you get a TO?
You have a leg up on regular transfers for sophomore year. You attend college at another school for your freshman year, maintain a B average, make sure you are taking classes at your freshman school that would align with your Cornell major’s requirements, and then complete the TO application that’ll be sent you in Jan 2022. Supposedly a Cornell academic advisor checks in on you in August.
Out of curiosity, for those who got TO’s, did anyone’s admission portal change to include the letter offering the TO option? My daughter got the email offering the TO but her portal only has the rejection for Fall 2021 letter, no updates beyond that.
No, my son’s portal hasn’t changed since he received a TO offer by email on 6/17. It’s still a rejection in the reality. The TO is not an admission as a first-year student.

Has anyone from College Hum Eco got TO? How many days would it take to know if you get a TO after receiving a rejection letter?
I think usually a day but they notified on a Friday and idk if they would email us on a weekend. I know some schools do but idk if it’s the same for Cornell.

Some schools don’t offer the TO. I know Engineering doesn’t. Not sure if Human Ecology is one. I believe if you search on Cornell’s website you might be able to find the info.
Got rejected by ILR today. I feel like they are trying to get an answer to everyone on the waitlist before July
I don’t know if anyone from WL got TO but I do know of a hum ec applicant who was offered TO on Ivy day.
