Cornell wannabe path? How can I improve?

okay. So im a sophomore in high school right now and I want to ED to Cornell for Econ or AEM, because I really like economics.
So I plan to have around 3.85~3.95 GPA, not sure though its 3.9 right now.

As for SATs I got a 188 freshman year (80 math, 53 writing, 55 critical reading) no study at all. Sophomore year I got a 206 (68 math (screwed up), 70 writing, and 68 critical reading). A little studying but not much. Now im actually studying weekly and aiming for a 2250-2350 range.

Clubs are FBLA, Academic decatlon, table tennis, and academically gifted club. I placed 2nd place economics, 1st place business calculations, and 2nd place math at a regional competition and plan to well at state (I hope).

I have accumulated around 300 hours of community service in a nursing home place and I won the presidential service award.

What shape am I in for admission and what should I improve besides getting good grades and SATs?

Thanks so much if you actually read this and comment.

looking good :)

I would research the subtle nuances of the school and when you write your college essay, prove to the adcoms, not that you deserve to be in, but that Cornell wants you to be there.
(The sad truth is when you really begin to dissect a school’s mission statement, you may realize that it isn’t really where you want to be.)

Do not let your grades drop! the higher, the better. I’d reccommend you studdy for the sat this summer too.

Never work toward to getting accepted into Cornell, because if you get rejected…then what? Do what you love to do and have fun doing it.

I think you’re doing well, keep it up! Just make sure, try to envision yourself in other schools, just to play it safe. Be sure to do well on your SAT IIs as well.
