Cornell Wins NCAA Basketball Game !!

Kudos to the men's basketball team. It's been many years since an Ivy League team has won a game in the postseason.

Lets go red!!!

=D. (10char)

Go Big Red!!
D just called from campus and said everybody just started screaming when they won. Too funny!

Go big red

That’s what I call executing the game plan. Such a solid performance. Go BIG RED!

Somethng I never expected to see in my lifetime, that’s for sure. Hat’s off to them.

They didn’t just win. They dominated. Led by 19 at one point and led pretty much the entire game.

I think we can take the winner of Wisconsin/Wofford.

March Madness, baby! Go Big Red! Oh yeah!!!

Just joining in the celebration here!!

About 10 new messages from old Cornell friends suddenly showed up in my e-mail inbox, and I knew Cornell must have won  Can’t wait for Sunday when I can actually watch the game!

GO BIG RED!!

It’s Wisconsin! With Norcalguy - I think we can do well against the Badgers.

Go Big Red!

I agree. Seeing how much of a run for their money Wofford gave Wisconsin, I think we have a fairly good chance against the Badgers.

Sorry, dont really follow basketball but was Temple that good and what does this mean for us in the long run?

Yes, Temple was that good.

Cornell,

Congratulations on the win. This is the first NCAA tournament win for an Ivy League team in 12 years. [Cornell Pins Upset On Temple, 78-65 - ESPN Video - ESPN](http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5010178)

Best regards,

Heh. I remember a couple of months ago when you said they wouldn’t have a shot against Kansas.

Bring on Wisconsin. I need vengeance from our 2006 OT loss.

Really, it’s just bragging rights. We don’t need to listen to Penn and Princeton say how they were the only schools to ever have good basketball teams.

And besides, Penn can’t even be bothered with a hockey team, so it’s not like we should have ever cared what they thought in the first place.

I was in about the most secluded place possible on campus during the game (lab: no internet, windows, etc.) but as soon as I re-entered the world I checked and was SO EXCITED! LET’S GO RED!

PS. I was so pleased when Obama picked us for the upset. I know it’s just a weird stunt for him to even do it but it really got my school spirit going anyway. :)

Temple actually was a pretty good team:

RPI can be a bit bogus but they did have some good wins.

2 down. 4 to go. You gotta believe.
