Anybody know the GPA and SAT scores needed to get into Cornell?
The short answer: there are no ‘magic bullet’ scores- there is no GPA/SAT score that will ‘get you in’ to Cornell on its own.
The long answer: go to the admitted students profile for the current class (google is your friend). Look at the GPA/SATs by % - top 25% / middle 50% / bottom 25%. If you have no hooks, figure that your scores should be towards the upper 25%. But remember: even a 4.0UW / 2400 SAT won’t “get you in”- you need good stats AND something else- something that is you.
I’ve used Google, but the only thing that comes it (released by the University) is SAT scores
Which division? Requirements, even testing are different for different sections
I’m in New Jersey if that helps.
I think that SaphireNY means which division at Cornell- you apply directly to the different divisions/schools:
College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
College of Architecture, Art, and Planning
College of Arts and Sciences
College of Engineering
School of Hotel Administration
College of Human Ecology
School of Industrial and Labor Relations

Sorry- they have class rank not GPA, but I think you will have enough info to work with. You can also use the SuperMatch here on CC (under ‘Find A College’, in the left column on this page)
Yes and for the first and the last two you are considered out of state so are at a minor disadvantage I think
It honestly depends where you’re looking and it varies GREATLY. However, I would say 3.8+ and 2150+ would be goals to strive for.
Take a look at the common data set for Cornell and you can see where the test scores fall.
