Questions for you:
1) Do I have a shot at Cornell as of right now?

2) What range do you believe I should bring my SAT's and SAT II's into for decent shot at Cornell? ACT's?

3) Will I be penalized because of my school's lack of challenging courses?

4) Would it be wise to enroll in an online AP program?

5) Would it be wise to enroll in an online program for HS kids learning university level courses through Cornell?

6) How much does being a great athlete help a applicant? Does it make up for lower academics? How much does it help?

7) I want to get into management. Will the CALs program be the best fit at Cornell? Will the Economics major also work?

Please be honest and sorry for all the questions?

Cant really tell without SAT scores or Jr year grades.

SAT 1 = 1900 above, above 2100 to be safe
SAT II = 700's
ACT = 30 above

You better be the best and do well on national testing.

Personally I would say no but all depends on which AP

Sure how can it hurt

How good are you? NCAA Division 1 level? It depends on how good you are but it can sometimes but I'm assuming your not looking at athletics as a career.

I dont know too much about management but since a lot of ppl change their mind in college go to the best school you can.

In answer to your questions:

Your GPAs are getting you there, but if you keep taking your SATIIs and getting mediocre scores that will change quickly. You need to take a lot of sample SAT IIs before taking the real thing--this applies to all the tests you take.

Since Cornell University's averages are 1390 for two parts (680/710), you need to get your scores up to at least 2100 or so (all 3 parts) to have a good shot.

No, just explain this in your application. And like the previous poster said, keep your high rank in the school.

No, you would be better taking a college course in the subject at a local community college or university. Especially if you can get an A in the course.

Why do you think they set these things up? It's to scout out smart kids who are interested in the school--and who may attend in the future.

Cornell won something like 8 Patriot League titles last year. Approximately 9% of their accepted students were recruited athletes. Check out their website--it's right on their list of acceptance criteria.

Since the business program is in the CALS school, that's the place to apply. Only apply to the College of Arts and Sciences (and it's Economics program) as a second alternative (note: Cornell allows you to apply to two schools using the same application).

calcruzer,
Where did you find the admission's critera on cornell's website?
