i can't find a breakdown of SAT scores by school, maybe someone will be nice enough to post a link

Cornell is an amazing school, especially ILR, I hope I'm accepted next year :)

Food (esp. in the dining halls on North Campus where the freshmen live) is awesome. The reputation is well deserved.

Yes, the 5-year Arch program was ranked #1. I don't know if new rankings came out or not.

The difference is not great. Engineering and CAS have the highest SAT scores. ILR, HE, and CALS are in the mid tier. And, the Arch and Hotel Schools (despite being #1 in their fields) have the lowest SAT scores. Obviously, they prove that you don't need the best SAT scores in order to be the best architects or Hotel Managers. The reason people keep wanting to use only CAS SAT scores when comparing with other US colleges is the fact that the other Cornell colleges are extremely specialized and are very sensitive to things like essays and EC's that demonstrate fit rather than SAT scores. For example, your portfolio is the most important admissions criteria for the Arch school. Your experience in the service industry and social skills (interviews are mandatory for the Hotel School) are most important for the Hotel School. Given what is needed to be successful in these fields, these criteria seem logical. CAS is the only school at Cornell that resembles the liberal arts colleges of other universities. For example, if comparing Cornell to Columbia, I would compare CAS w/ the College and the Engineering School w/ Fu. It's not a case of cherrypicking and only using the "strongest" colleges at Cornell so to speak. It's a case of only making relevant comparisons.

North Campus dining hall has several food "islands" with different themes. You can get everything from pizza and wings to chinese and other international cuisines. They vary the entrees.
