How many of you have applied or have actually been accepted to the AEM program already?...If so, what were your stats, ECs, etc...

I applied, and I'm scared.

Stats...I hate typing them out, just seach me on the roster.

How are you scared, you scored a 1600! Unless I have the wrong guy!

I just found out that I got into AEM two days ago and I certainly am psyched.

Stats:

GPA=3.85 ish
EC's = Green Mapping of Burlington, VT
2 Varsity sports
Lots of Acting
Lots of volunteer work related to effective conversations between business and environment
Three great recommendations

i'm applying and i guess ill find out when my midyear actually gets there? congrats on getting in; hopefully ill see you next year?

I love your name lessbushmoretrees! I bet your business experience helped you out.
I'm impressed by your work with the environment, I applied to SNES. What was this Green Mapping you did?

what is AEM?

lessbushmoretrees - what do you think got you in since your SAT scores arent up to Cornell's par? Also, do you have any legacies at Cornell who might have helped you out a little bit?

Thanks ahead of time.

I'm scared because I'm the kind guy who always gets screwed over...

It might sound funny, and it is...but you never know what matters.

well, think about this. is there a business sat? are there any tests that can accurately test your business skills? he/she had a solid and it seems like their ecs were rather unique.

Fishs-- A Green Map is a map of a town/city/community that sites ecological/cultural resources and talks about their importence in terms of a sustainable framework (or at least that was the aim of the map I worked on).

No, my scores are not up to par. I think what got me in was simply the interest in understanding how business and environment can (and must) go hand in hand and I have worked on several projects that represent this interest.

Also I go to a very small school and the recommendations I got were from teachers I consider personal friends.

I have no alum in my family.

how is AEM compared to Stern's finance program. I would prefer AEM cuz it's cheaper, but I also heard that not a lot of companies recruit at Cornell. What do you guys think?

I don't know where you heard that Cornellians don't get recruited... However, Cornell has one of the most extensive and effective career assistance programs out there. Don't be fooled by what uninformed people will say.

hey lessbushmoretrees (love the name btw) anoher reason u prob got in was cuz u do alot of environmental activities and cals (the school that aem is in) deals alot with agriculture and the earth. Congrats on ur acceptance! :)

Anyone know if CALS accpets AP credit and if so what are the minimum scores accepted?

Whoever said that companies don't recruit at cornell is very uninformed..we have more i-bankers than any other school coming out of AEM besides Wharton, and tons of top firms come to Cornell to recruit every fall

lessbushmoretrees..... Check out this site I found yesterday about AP tests, it'll answer a ton of questions for you... I know it helped me a lot. If you have further questions, you can cal the admissions office and they will surely answer your questions. The number for the admissions office is 607 255-5241. Good luck!

sorry that's the site... It didn't transfer.

What if they still didn't receive my Mid-year yet?

Thanks alot Ferrari
