Cornell's Minor and Major System?

Well i am attending Cornell University this Fall and im in CALS and im Majoring in AEM. I know you can double major in any other major in CALS but im not interested in any of them. I really wanted to either major or minor in math. From what i heard you can only major and minor within your school. Is this true? Is it possible for me to major or minor in majors of another school?

Check out this thread.

You can also major in Biometry and Statistics in CALS, which is essentially an applied math/stats major.

CALS students can do a minor in any college, as long a such a program exists and you receive the proper approval.

Even if no formal minor exists, you are usually more than welcome to take courses in the respective department.
