<p>Do you think his tenure will benefit Cornell? For some odd reason I seem to like the current President, Rawlings, a bit more.</p>
<p>Eh, it's too early to tell. </p>
<p>I like Skorton...his interests match mine, his field is Biomedical Engineering, and he also plays jazz saxophone...so that's probably why I like him. As far as what he's going to do for the University, time will tell.</p>
<p>I also like Rawlings a lot. From my limited encounters with him (I had a chat with him during a dedication of part of my dorm), he seems like a nice guy, a likable person, and a really dedicated individual. </p>
<p>The selection board conducted quite a search for the new president, and, as far as I can tell, I think they've done a good job.</p>
<p>I'm a fan of Skorton... but I live in Iowa City. His son (who's now at Stanford) was in marching band with me for two years. =D<br>
He seems very capable, and I'm quite glad to be following him to Cornell.</p>
