<p>I’ll reserve judgment on the project until it’s actually implemented and some time passes. I saw the presentation Skorton made and I’m impressed. Cornell clearly did its homework, but this project is still a huge gamble. NYC is not a tech hub and the model they are proposing of supporting entrepreneurship with tech innovation/education is not an easy one to execute. It sounds forward thinking to me, but no way to know if it really is the next model for development. Regardless, it’s a worthy experiment, but if it fails, it will be costly for Cornell. I’m definitely optimistic and the plan had my support, but there’s a huge gap between an impressive plan and impressive success.</p>
