Corps

What is process of joining Corps? What is the physical like, or is there one?

I think you need to contact someone from the web page. I don’t think there is a physical because I was recruited over the phone the day before Thanksgiving (or two days) and she told me anyone makes it in.

So you’re pretty much clear and if you’re accepted to the school you’re accepted to the corps. Also, there is a great website texags.com where you can post questions about the corps in a forum, there are a lot of rude people hiding behind their computers but you will get SOME great answers.

My son is a junior in the Corps this year, so my answer is based on what he went through.

You can let them know anytime before your New Student Conference (NSC), but you will officially join during the second day of your NSC. You will fill out a lot of paperwork, get fitted for uniforms, have your height and weight taken, and select the outfit you want to join. The university itself doesn’t give you a physical, but you will be given a form to have a cursory physical done with your current doctor to clear you for physical activity.

Anyone can join the Corps as the previous poster said, but you do have to be able to do pt (physical training) and pass at certain minimums to stay in it.

There is a site that specializes in the Senior Military Colleges, of which TAMU is one. Go to [United States of America Service Academy Forums - Powered by vBulletin](http://www.serviceacademyforums.com), and then to the public and private military colleges tab. Also, I’ve sent you a private message.
