Correlation b/w SAT 2s and APs

I took sat us and got a 770. does that mean im likely to get a 5 in the ap test. im stil waiting for scores to get mailed

i got 780 and i got a 5. so hopefully you too!

Physics: 3 - 750
USH: 5 - 790
WH: 5 - 800
Calc AB: 3 - 800 (Math II)

Make of that what you will.

I really don’t think there’s much of a correlation; SAT-IIs tend to focus on different topics (APUSH is much more varied and asks random facts, Math is algebra/geometry, Bio asks a lot of specifics), from what I’ve seen. But I’ve found that SAT-IIs are typically the harder ones, at least for me, so it’s perfectly possible that you got a 5.

For us history

Sat II: 750
ap exam: 5

SAT II/AP score

U.S: 700/4
Physics: 710/5 - Took AP Physics B
780 on Math II if that helps

Id say 85 percentile and up on SAT II is equivalent to a 5 on the AP because the SAT II population is significantly more able than the AP takers. In my opinion, even 80th percentile on a SAT II is a borderline five on the AP in that corresponding subject.

Us: 740 sat, ap 4

720 on SAT 2 USH
5 in APUSH
…And I took SAT2 right after AP exam. fail.

thanks. it’s really weird because one of my friends who take apush and sat us last year got a 690 on sat us but a 5 in the ap test.

U.S. - 760 on SAT II, 5 on AP U.S. History
Physics - 800 on SAT II, 5 on AP Physics B

my d got a 4 on chem ap and a 730 on sat2. she said the chem ap was very hard.

790 SAT Math II - 5 AP Calc BC w/ 5 subscore
800 SAT Bio - 5 AP Bio

740 SAT II
AP 5 for USH

800 Math II, 5 Calculus BC, 5 Calculus AB Subscore

740 French (Reading-only), 5 AP French Language

800 Chemistry, 5 AP Chemistry

780 US History, 5 AP US History

780 Physics, 5 AP Physics B, 5 AP Physics C: Mechanics, 5 AP Physics C: E&M

SAT II Math II = 800
AP Calc BC = 5 (AB subscore = 5)
AP Calc AB = 5

SAT II Physics = 790
AP Physics B = 5

SAT II Biology = 740
AP Biology = 5

SAT II U.S. History = 770
AP U.S. History = 4

SAT II Spanish = 690
AP Spanish = 4

US History
AP - 5; SAT - 770

Biology
AP - 5; SAT (M) - 720

740 SAT II US
4 APUS

I took the SAT the day after the AP test too. Not really sure if that matters though!

Last year:
world history sat II - 610 ap - 4

This year:
Us history sat II - 700 ap - 4
Biology sat II - 710 ap - 5

But my friend got a 700 on sat biology and a 2 on the ap test…

Well I will say this based on the people who posted. The people who got 5s on their APs got 5s cause they studied. Most likely that “habit”/mentality is going to continue and they are going to study for the SAT IIs as well.
