Correlation between contact from financial aid office and admissions?

Has anybody noticed this trend?

They should not be similar. There might be a trend but it would/should not exist. The school states that they work seperately.

Has anyone been contacted with missing financial aid forms? I have not, my forms are not complete and I'm worried.

me neither. but i am in a state of nirvana and ready for rejection =)

The only thing I got from Yale as far as fin aid goes was a letter from that college board IDOC thing saying that they needed me to send copies of tax returns, etc. But I think everyone gets that after they send in the CSS Profile.

oh, i got that IDOC thing in the email a while ago, but only school that requested that thru the IDOC in my case was harvard! i was just really curious about why none of the other schools were listed!
what do u suppose this means???

i naturally thought that harvard was the only school that used the IDOC service, so i sent tax forms to IDOC for harvard, and sent copies to all the other schools directly. god, this makes me nervous

Each school is a bit different. My D applied to four Ivies, three private Us, and three U/Cal campuses. The U/Cals and NYU only wanted a FAFSA. All the private Us (including Ivies) wanted the College Board form, along with tax returns for 2004 and a bunch of other snoopy info. Yale wanted the tax return via IDOC--the others wanted them directly.

Either way, don't sweat it. If you're worried, just call the Financial Aid office and ask if they have everything they need.

As far as correlation between financial aid and admissions--who knows? Who cares? You've done evrething you can do at this point; knowing won't change the outcome.

susu - i love your answer! = D
