Correlation between Length and Score?

I know this topic has been debated many times and that the conclusion always seems to be that longer essays tend to have better scores.

That being said, do you think that filling up 1.5 pages is enough for 9 - 10 score (given up on 12 by now :()?

The longer it is, the more you'll score...

should've written bigger :O

I wrote to the last line this time around. I didn't really use any history or literature as examples, but "observations" as it states in the prompt. Hopefully this won't cause me to get less than an 10 on the essay.

That's nice. Does anyone have any responses to my question?

(Sorry, Solsek, I've got to ship you out of this thread:))

yeh ajkcorner1, with 1.5 pages u can get a 9 or a 10. At least I got one on the Nov test. and believe me, I write really big letters.

Thanks no_novice. I feel a bit better now!

I wrote very small and wrote 1.5 pages. I think there is an element of correlation between how much you write and how highly you score, but I would hope that the test markers look more at number of words not just, 'oooooh only one page, slap a 4 on that'

Quality is important too, of course. A two page turd will not get a 6!

do we find out our essay grades on february 15 or just our scores out of 800
