Correlation Between SAT scores and GPA

<p>Are your SAT scores and GPA closely correlated? In general, do most people do pretty comparably on the two?</p>

<p>Mine aren't, and I'm not quite sure how colleges will see me. I have an overall unweighted GPA of 3.45. I'm currently doing well (all A's or A-'s), but I had a hard time freshman year and got only B's and C's (at a tough school, but still). My SAT score is 2310, which I got the first time I took the test and barely studied. </p>

<p>Does anyone have experience with uncorrelated scores?</p>

<p>But that kind of an SAT scoer will get you places a 4.0 can't get you... i would rather have a 3.7 with a 2350 than a 4.0 with a 2000</p>

<p>Usually there is a correlation, but I'm with you, mine are different. I got a 3.4 and a 2110 taking the test once cold in my junior year. Perhaps no correlation is supposed to exist, but generally one does.</p>
