Correlation: standardized test scores vs college admissions

Hi all, obviously standardized test scores play a significant role in many colleges' decisions to admit or reject students. What I would like to discover is what test scores are needed to be average for a college. For instance, if college X has a middle 50% ACT of 28-32, then, for your test scores to hold their own ground and not hurt you in admissions, what score do you all think is needed?

I think this would be a very beneficial to a number of people! We all know what middle 50 percentages are, but I think a lot of us are in the dark as to knowing how to apply those numbers.

Again, obviously EC's and stuff come into play in admissions, but I'm just talking about what scores for a given middle 50% range hold their own ground.

Thanks in advance!

If the middle 50% is 28-32, then I’d say the dead average is 30.
