Is the amount of correspondence, after your app acknowledgment, from the different campuses any indication of prospective admission? I applied to 5; San Diego, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Irvine, and UCLA. I’ve received tons of emails from UCLA, a few from Irvine/Santa Cruz/Santa Barbara, and nothing from San Diego. All the emails are about financial aid, campus life, or my major. Any thoughts?
The emails you are getting are not indicative of your chances at any of the UC’s. They all trying to promote their campus in case you get in and plan to enroll. I would not read anything into these emails.
