Corrupt Highschool System

Person A
Chem H: 98 overall, 100 on Regents, 750+ on SAT II
AP American History: 90 overall, 100 on Regents, 750+ on SAT II, 5
Overall Class Average: 97 ish
SAT: 2200+

Person B
Chem H: 100 overall, 90 on Regents, sub-600 on SAT II
AP American History: 100 overall, 95 on Regents, sub-600, 3
Overall Class Average: 100
SAT: 1900

This is crap. This person is claiming that the SAT score shows who “really earned” the grade. wow, no way. The SAT has no where near that level of significance.

^ i dont really get your point. could you explain it

^ “This person” refers to Person A, who has a higher SAT score but a lower class average than Person B. Person A, in order to prove his/her worth in the world, claims that SAT scores matter more than the actual class average.

I personally hate people who take advantage of easy classes just to maintain their GPA. In my opinion, the greatest teachers were those who cared more about what the student learned rather than what his/her GPA is.

^ I agree with you. BUT:

There is a difference between luck of the draw and getting an easy teacher vs hard teacher AND purposely taking easy classes to maintain your GPA.

students in Teacher’s A’s class get higher grades because his class is easier. What is there to discuss?

It’s the responsibility of the students in Teacher B’s class to work harder, study harder, do whatever to get higher grades. Besides, most people would have the same number of Teacher As and Teacher Bs in their educational lifetime anyway so it balances out.
