For me, I just told them “I got rejected from my first choice cluster and did not even get waitlisted anywhere, so I will waste my summer studying for SATs because none of my backup summer programs worked out either.” yep…that’s what I said to them. prepare for the effects.

Other than that, congratulations to everyone who got accepted! :)

Sent from my ThunderBolt using CC

Sophomore with 4.0 UW GPA, recs from Honors Chem and Honors Alg2 teachers, not in ANY science or math ECs (just show them that you’re doing something meaningful and you’ll be okay, no need to have a bunch of science and math ECs although that would be preferred LOL). I listed Best Buddies, piano, Speech and Debate, and NJROTC as my ECs. Essays were honestly not that great stylistically, but I really tried to genuinely express my personality and who I was as a human being, as well as stating why I was interested in COSMOS. :]

Accepted to UCD Cluster 8, Chemistry of Life!

Oh well… I’m a freshman rejected by UCD biomed…

And I thought I had a strong AP:

Dude seriously, I don’t believe this but I’m amazed at it as well. My friend that applied to UCI got accepted with a GPA of 3.0 and didn’t have anything really good to put for extracurricular activities. Yet all my other friends and even me that have a way higher GPA and good extracurricular activities than my friend got rejected. I am just sad, really sad. It’s impossible!
