Cosmos 2014!

@dsi411 Yeah, I meant in the application status. I did find out that it meant Free Reduced Lunch.

@pizzacutter Hmm, I wonder why mine didn’t say that. I sent in a free-reduced lunch letter too. Do you happen to know what KW means?

@dsi411 No I don’t, sorry. That is weird, maybe you should email them?

hi, i applyed to the uci cosmos. just waiting to see if i got accepted or not D:
looking at the stats, im kinda scared.

@minhmvi I applied there too! Which clusters?

@minhmvi What grade are you in?

Hi CC,

I’m applying to COSMOS this summer at ucd for astrophysics or computers in biophysics and robotics. I’m currently a sophomore.
Weighted GPA: 4.0 (my school doesn’t allow us to take APs or honors freshman year)
UW GPA: 3.83
SAT from soph: 2110
-volunteer at chabot space and science center.
-varsity member of speech and debate team
-member of robotics club
-science alliance: program in which high schoolers mentor local 5th graders to build science fair projects which they compete with at a science fair.
-self taught calculus, differential equations, electromagnetism, mechanics, waves and vibrations, special/general relativity, and some othertopicsinphysicsthaticantrememeberoffthetopofmyhead.
I thought my essays were pretty good, and my teachers said that they would write good letters of rec. for me. What are my chances? I know my gpa isn’t stellar, but I was wondering if I still stand a chance?

It has been around 13 business days since I’ve mailed my transcript, but application status still says “N” on the transcript part. Is this just me?

@bboyinmartin Mine showed received a few days after. You mailed it before the deadline, right? You should email them.

@dsai411 and @xPikaPowerX
SORRY FOR SUCH A LATE REPLY. caught up in school and what not,
im a sophomore and applied to the Genes, genomes and biocontrol, and second one was tissue engineering. how about you guys? One more monthhhhhhhh ~

@minhmvi I applied to UCSD Biodiesel cluster, my second choice was computers in everyday life. I can’t wait till April 18th!

Hi guys.

How come no one applied for mathematics at UCD? :c

@dsi411
Hey, sorry for the late response, I didn’t check this thread until now.
I applied for Regenerative med with Biodiesel as my secondary, but I don’t think my essays were that strong because I did them the weekend they were due haha.

I’m a junior atm with a 4.38 gpa, taking 5 ap classes this year. EC’s are like Publicity officer for CSF, Varisty Tennis, Secretary of a Euro club, had a dental lab internship last summer, mathletes, nhs, and some other minor things.

@bboyinmartin I would’ve definitely applies for mathematics at UCD if I lived in Northern California! They have some good clusters up there at UCD and UCSC.

Hi guys how are you all doing?

Hi, new to this thread. I applied to UCSD. My first choice was Bioengineering/Mechanical Engineering: The Amazing Red Blood Cell, second was Biodiesel from Renewable Sources. I am an out of state applicant.

@CaptainTeemo Hi, what grade are you in?

I’m currently in 10th grade.

@CaptainTeemo Cool, I’m in 9th grade and I applied for biodiesel (first choice) and computers (second choice) at UCSD. I don’t think I’ll get in though. But it’s still fun to try.
