Does anyone know what should I expect the cost for car insurance to be around that area for an 19-year old with three years of driving experience?

Thank

Check with your own insurer (they have the nationwide rates). Because you would be there only part of the year, if your rates are lower in your area, then you might save money by maintaining coverage as if you were living at home, and just attending college for the few months per year. Your agent can advise you best since he/she knows the situation.

Not really, because I don't have an agent and my car at this point is uninsured. I live in NYC, so, obviuosly it is going to be cheaper, but I just wanted a rugh estimate, by how much.

Any insurance agent can give you quotes. Check online with various companies, or call thier offices. They give free quotes all the time. And they will vary company to company. Shop around for the cheapest rates.
