Cost

i expected to receive some form of financial aid grant or scholarship, but looks like all i got was a ton of loans.

are the majority of people paying the full sticker price?

Don't worry! Cal Poly has only released loans and I think a few grants. They'll release scholarships either later in the month or at the latest early May. There is hope! :)

does anyone know if they gave out work study? i didn't get that and i was hoping i would.

Thanks also. My son's situation is the same as Ohno's, all loans. We had expected more since he was accepted ED, but were prepared for the worst. It seems a farse to be "awarded" loans, when both Stafford and parent PLUS loans can be had on your own. Besides, loans should be counted as part of the EFC, as it is the family that pays back the loans.

I talked to my financial aid counselor during Open house and she said that scholarships are going to be given out till August. Also each department/school of ____________ will have different dates on when they will let you know if you get any free money because each department still have to figure out how much money is availible to them. And for the work-study program i was put on wait list so I think they are full unless they have extra money or somebody drops out
