Could a current student answer this?

I'm looking to transfer into ucsb from a ccc as a history major. However I have taken a couple of economics courses and find this extremely fascinating as well. Since I'll be entering UCSB as a junior (assuming I'm accepted) will I be allowed to double major in history and economics? how about history and biz-econ? Or since I transferred in as a history major, and because of my junior standing, will I be denied from pursuing this? Thanks for the help :)

If you complete the prerequisites for both majors, I don't think it should be a problem. It's all about planning your courses out so that you get out as soon as possible (under 200 quarter units).

Note that one will need to be a BS and the other a BA.

You need to apply with one major and an alternate major. However, once at the school, you can declare a second major. It is probably best to apply with the major that you have the most preperation.
