Hey everyone,
I'm pretty much with my common application essay, and I was wondering if any of you would be kind enough to edit it for me.
PM me, or respond to this?
Thanks so much!

Send it to me by PM

hmm I guess I should mention the schools I'm considering?
Harvard
Penn
Dartmouth
Georgetown
Williams
Tufts
3 State schools
BU
Northwestern
Northeastern

ugh.

Advice from a student...

Cut some schools from that list. There's no need for you to apply to 12 schools. Make sure you have a couple of safeties you would be happy attending, and then shorten your list by just picking out your favorites. That's about $600 in app fees alone, not even mentioning time, which is of course your most valuable resource. Most of your schools are in cities. If you want to be in a city, why are you applying to Dartmouth or Williams? Most of your schools are in the east, so if you want to be there, why do you have Northwestern? Most of your schools are secular, and then you have Georgetown. Do you want a secular school? What are your state schools? Do you really like them all or are they just add-ons? Consider size, location, students, majors, and whatever else you want, and then pick a few to drop, as long as you still have our safeties (and financial safeties).

I'd get fee-waivers.
I'm not confident enough to cut any schools out.
The essays will be a pain, but repetitive and duable.
Since for the most part, I can't afford visiting, I'm not really sure what I want from a school so I need to keep the mix.
Well, I told myself that Northwestern is the farthest I'd go, and the only school I'd make an exception to my rule.
Thanks for the advice!
