he or she is creative and has many skills, or would that person be subjected to flipping burgers at McDonalds for the rest of his or her life?

Every school I have ever known including community colleges require a 2.0 for graduation.

A friend of mine who never went to college is a successful businessman.

There are plenty of jobs that won’t ask for a GPA or transcript. Having a degree already puts that person ahead of the pack.

can you even graduate with a 1.5? I think you will be expelled as an academic failure.

I don’t know of any college you can graduate from with below a 2.0

Though I do know people who graduated with low GPA’s like 3.0, 2.7, 2.5 who are doing really well.

So graduating with a C average is not horrible. A good portion of our politicians and business executives/innovators in the US made mediocre grades in college, likely cause they were more interested in other subjects/sciences. They got to where they are at, because most are excellent strategists and outside thinkers. They posses the drive and enough knowledge of the workings of of their environment such that they can manipulate and exploit every opportunity and turn slim chances into guarantees.
