Could anyone explain what Political Economy of Industrialized Nations is?

I put that down as my major, not really knowing what it is... Yeah, I know, smart move.

But since L&S sees it as undeclared anyways, I didn't think to care.

So could anyone provide an explanation of what this major focuses on? I've tried googling, and the L&S department website keeps crashing when I choose to look at that major.

So if anyone has a link that has a list of majors with short descriptions or can explain what the major in the topic title is, please do.

Much appreciated.

wait, i found this:

[L&S Major - List of Majors](http://ls-major.berkeley.edu/majorlist.html)

still, could anyone explain a bit more in detail about what it is and whether the major branches? Is it like AP Comparative Government?

And is 4 semesters of a language the equivalent of 4 high school years of a language? Because I just couldn’t learn Spanish at all, it dropped my grade point average down so much.
