I have applied for FAFSA 2017-2018 for fall and spring. I am in community college for fall 2017 and will be transferred to university for spring 2018. So I have applied FAFSA for my current school and hadn’t added the university in which i’ll planning to study in spring 2018. So question is what should need to do to use that FAFSA aid for new school or how how can I use same FAFSA or I need to apply again for new school ? help would be so appreciated !
Thank You !
FSFSA is a form you fill out. It only determines your eligibility for aid. The colleges award the aid. You will need to apply for aid at your new school.
If you plan to transfer during the 2017-2018 school year, you need to submit your FAFSA to the new schools. So…go back into your FAFSA using your FSA ID, and add the new colleges…and submit.
The new schools will get your FAFSA…and they will determine wht need based aid to award to you…if any.
I already had applied for 2017-18, but it just for the school where I’m currently studying and from 2018 I’ll transferred to another school so for that do I need to submit FAFSA all over again or just need to add that school in my FAFSA account?
Once more… @Hopiee
Go onto your 2017-2018 FAFSA. Add any new colleges to which you plan to apply for January 2018 admission…and SUBMIT THE FAFSA AGAIN…so the new school(s) will receive it.
You just need to add the new school that you plan to transfer to in January 2018.
Thank you so much @thumper1
