if i were to apply with a less popular major from a small california city and full Armenian ethnicity. GPA will be roughly 4 wieghted with tons of co curricular and 1900 Sat. I know very lackluster but maybe due to other reasons i could get accepted with wierd major. Any Chance? its been a dream of mine since 5, honestly age 5, but ive recently given up. Just want an honestopinion please. Thanks

I don’t think Harvard gives any weight in admissions to the major you pick.

Your stats are very low in general for a Harvard applicant. I don’t think “weird major” will make a difference in admissions. If it does, it would only be in the case of Harvard deciding between two fully qualified applicants. In that case the “weird major” might act as a tie breaker. Also, when asking for input, weighted GPA only tells so much. It does not show how did you do in individual classes - unweighted GPA, or how you did in comparison to rest of class - rank/class size. Either way, a 1900 SAT or 27 ACT is low for Harvard. I would expect that the only applicants accepted with those score have significant hooks.

Good luck and I am sure there are many great schools from which you can choose.

You will not get in.
