High Point is my dream school. My gpa unweighted is a 3.45 and my new SAT score is a 1340, ACT is a 28.
We’d have to know a little bit more about you, like your exrtracurriculars and such.
Your GPA is higher than the average (3.34) and 41% of admitted students have ACT scores of 24-29 (http://www.collegedata.com/cs/data/college/college_pg02_tmpl.jhtml?schoolId=1481)
I think you have a good shot though.
I have been on the crew team for 2 seasons each year starting freshman year, I volunteer at Gifts of Love very often. Also I help in an inner city kindergarten class. I manage the swim team, worked as a camp counselor and collected clothes and school supplies for children in need.
And I help kids who have disabilities.
yes…
I am parent of two current students at HPU. Based on what you have outlined, I would think you should have very strong chances of acceptance. My advice is for you to establish a relationship with the admissions counselor for you area. This should also help and don’t feel hesitate to express your strong interest in the school to them.
Hi @jps716! High Point University does a fabulous job of really looking at the entire application! Of course, your GPA, SAT and/or ACT scores do play a significant role. I would encourage you to reach out to your Admissions Counselor at HPU! They are there to answer your questions about these kinds of things and so much more. They really want to council you and your family as you move through the college decision process! Feel free to connect with them! Their contact information is here http://www.highpoint.edu/admissions/!
